Pokemon Legends Arceus, what should we expect?
“This is a tale of a time long ago when the lives of humans and Pokémons were still separate”. With this statement in the middle of August this year, we got our second trailer for the new Pokémon game “Pokémon Legends Arceus”. Together with new information we also got the release date that will be January 28th, 2022. At the beginning of the year what we could see on the first trailer was the new open-world gameplay that is revolutionizing the pocket monster saga, but what else can we see on the new trailer?
New regional Pokémons
As we have seen in the previous Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield, the new Pokémon game will bring a new version of our old pals. In the trailer, we can see a Hisuin version of Growlithe and Braviary together with two new evolution forms of Wyrdeer (noble-looking Reindeer that will evolve from Stantler) and Basculegion (being an evolution from Basculin).
Old foes and new allies
Another new element in the trailer is the presence of our supporting group being none other than the Team Galactic! The main villain group of Pokémon Pearl and Pokémon Diamond seems to be our main resource, not only providing us with our starter and Pokédex but also setting up campfires in which our protagonist will be able to get some rest and to restore the health of his Pokémons.
Arceus’ rage
We have seen in the first trailer that sneaking in the wild grass will be one of the first options when it comes to catching Pokémons, but in the new trailer we have seen them fighting back and throwing attacks towards the trainer, even if we didn’t throw any of our Pokémons in the battle! During the night, some of the wild Pokémons seem to be possessed by some power or rage coming from the God of Pokémons, Arceus! These pokémons have red eyes and whenever they are caught we can see red, green and blue sparkles when they get in the Pokéball. Will this mystery be unraveled during the main story of the new Nintendo game?
Choose your starter!
As odd as it sounds, despite we can find Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott, none of these starters belong to the Sinnoh region. The mission that professor Laventon assigned to us is nothing different from the ones of the previous games, we will create the first Pokédex of the region going across the land and catching as many Pokémons as we can.
Fingers crossed for the new Nintendo game, we hope that the performance issues and the frames drop we have seen in the two trailers will be fixed before its release date and hopefully we will not see any delay!
